A Message from Dr. Liao

Thank you for visiting our website. I would like to take a moment to introduce myself and share with you my approach and philosophy towards patient care.

From a young age, I was a patient of my home town podiatrist. It was through his help and him making me orthotics that I was able to go through my childhood without any major foot pain or issues. Thus, I am very passionate about my career and field, believing that providing good patient care through great communication is of upmost importance. I approach patient care with the mindset that the patient and the physician work together as a team towards the singular goal of getting the patient back to their normal physical level in the quickest and safest way possible. I have a whole system approach to medicine. Taking the extra time to figure out why the pain occurred in the first place is just as important, if not more so, than treating just the symptoms.

It has been my experience that in many cases, underlying pathology of the foot and lower extremities can be corrected through an expert biomechanical examination and the proper usage of a functional orthotic to realign and restore normal walking patterns.  And although I have a comprehensive surgical background from my residency training, I believe that conservative and non-invasive treatment options should always be tried first.  I have a special interest in athletic and sports related injuries, biomechanics and reconstructive foot surgery. I am constantly striving to improve my knowledge base and try to incorporate the most efficacious and research-proven techniques into my daily treatment options.

Outside of practice, I enjoy traveling, trying new foods and vacationing (who doesn’t right?) with my wife and family. We have long term goals to travel to each of the 6 continents including Antarctica.

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my page. I look forward to meeting and helping you in any way that I can.
