Central Carolina Foot & Ankle Associates was founded in 1967 by Dr. John R. Iredale. We have spent over 40 years endeavoring to provide exemplary care to every patient who seeks our help -- and our mission is as strong as ever. We treat every patient as we ourselves would want to be treated, and we strive to not only meet, but exceed your expectations.
Two Convenient Locations

Our office responds quickly to your emergency/after hours needs, avoiding long and costly visits to the emergency room. Our physicians and office administrator are available via cell phone 24/7.
Our physician's have almost 60 years of collective experience and they routinely exceed the continuing medical education requirements each year. They attend advanced seminars and are constantly exploring the newest and latest advances in surgical techniques, biomechanics, wound healing and drug therapy. You, our patient, will be the recipient of the benefits from these endeavors.
We have 2 in-house operating rooms in the Independence Medical Park facility, hospital privileges at Durham Regional Hospital, N.C. Specialty Hospital and the Davis Ambulatory Surgical Center. We have staff members dedicated to surgery scheduling who are able to respond quickly to your surgical needs.
You should expect honest, ethical treatment from your physician and he/she will expect the same from you. If you have a problem or concern, we need to know what it is so that we may address it. We will do everything we can to relieve you of your painful foot problem. Patient compliance is very important-so your doctor will take the time to explain your foot problem to you and outline your responsibilities in adhering to the proposed treatment plan. Communication is also important, so we ask that you let us know of any adverse changes in your condition.
Our Clinical Staff is comprised of podiatric assistants who are skilled in assisting the physician in all aspects of care, from obtaining medical histories to venipuncture to circulating in the O.R.s. They are trained and certified in podiatric radiology by the North Carolina State Podiatric Medical Society. They will always do whatever they can to make your visit to our office as pleasant and stress free as possible.
Our Administrative Staff will see to it that you are scheduled to see the doctor in as timely a fashion as possible. We will do everything possible to meet all of your needs. Our administrative staff will also work hard to ensure that you recieve the insurance benefits you are entitled to. We ask that you give us current, valid insurance information so that our billing efforts can be as efficient as possible. Our practice's Mission Statement is posted in the reception area and the Patient's Bill of Rights is posted in each treatment room. Either document is available upon request.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve your podiatric health needs. We hope we will no only meet, but exceed your expectations.
